Mercadillo in Dénia: Monday Morning Market with Everything You Could Want
Monday? Then Dénia is the place to be! In the Torrecremada parking area you’ll find a huge market with around 400 stalls full of fresh produce, clothing, ceramics, toys and much more. The market is popular with both locals and tourists and runs from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Enjoy browsing and maybe pick up a nice Spanish souvenir.
Tuesday Market in Altea (Centro): Atmospheric and Traditional
Altea is beautiful anyway, but on Tuesdays the village truly comes to life with the traditional market in the centre. You’ll find plenty of fresh products, colourful textiles and beautiful handicrafts. Perfect to combine with a walk through the white streets of the old town!
Wednesday Market in Polop: Authentic and Local

Every Friday there is a market in Moraira, behind Centro Comercial Kristal Mar. More than one hundred stalls offer everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to clothing and home accessories. The atmosphere is relaxed and the surroundings are beautiful. Ideal to combine with a visit to the beach or lunch in Moraira harbour.
Flea Market in Jalón (Xaló): Treasure Hunting on Saturday Morning
On Saturdays Jalón turns into one large flea market. More than 200 stalls filled with vintage items, books, art and second-hand treasures. The market starts early (around 8:00 am) and finishes around 2:00 pm. Ideal to combine with a visit to one of the cosy terraces in the village. Don’t forget to stop by a bodega for a glass of local wine!
Sunday Flea and Antiques Market in Jesús Pobre
A special market in an even more special setting: the Mercat del Riurau. This market takes place under the arches of a traditional riurau, an old building where raisins used to be dried. Every first Sunday of the month you can browse among antiques, handmade items and local delicacies. There is live music and a very relaxed atmosphere — a wonderful place to spend your Sunday.
Evening Market
Every evening you can find an evening market on Avenida de Madrid, consisting of around fifteen stalls offering a smaller selection of what is sold at the Friday market.

The terraces along the boulevard and in the marina are ideal places to enjoy a meal or drinks with views of the Mediterranean. As dining in Spain typically starts late, the evening in Moraira often begins around 9:00 pm — perfect for long summer nights.
Moraira also has a vibrant yet relaxed nightlife. Whether you choose a cocktail at sunset, drinks with a sea view, or a cosy bar to start the evening, there is plenty of choice.
Beaches in Moraira
Playa del Portet
One of the most beautiful beaches in Moraira is the dreamy Playa del Portet, located just 1.5 kilometres from the centre of the harbour town. This picturesque fine-sand beach, with its clear turquoise waters, is one of the most impressive along the entire Costa Blanca. You can also enjoy a meal here, as there are several excellent restaurants and cafés right on the beach. The perfect choice for a beach holiday in Moraira!
Playa de l'Ampolla
Playa de l'Ampolla is located directly in the centre of Moraira and is one of the town’s most popular beaches. Here you’ll find a beautiful gently sloping sandy beach, especially popular with families with children. The sea is wonderfully clear, and while swimming you can enjoy fantastic views of Moraira’s small castle. Behind the beach runs the promenade, where you’ll find numerous cafés and restaurants.
Cala del Moraig
A dream beach in a class of its own — and a real insider tip — is the picturesque Cala del Moraig. Surrounded by spectacular cliffs, this bay is truly eye-catching. The sea here is stunning, shimmering in incredible shades of blue. Thanks to the many rocks and crystal-clear water, Cala del Moraig is ideal for snorkelling. Tip: At the edge of the bay you’ll find a small sea cave, the Cova dels Arcs, which is definitely worth a visit.
Cala la Fustera
A beautifully located cove on the road from Moraira to Calpe. The bay offers a lovely small beach, lifeguards during the season, and rentals for SUP, kayaks, and more. There is a beach bar open year-round and parking facilities available.

The Centre of Moraira
The centre of Moraira consists of around twenty streets mainly filled with restaurants, bars, shops, and residential buildings of no more than four to five storeys high. Some streets are pedestrian-only, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere of the town centre. Anyone walking through Moraira will notice that the atmosphere here is more relaxed than in larger nearby towns such as Calpe, Benidorm, and Altea.
Moraira Castle
Moraira Castle, the so-called Castillo de Moraira, is considered the town’s main attraction. From the castle, you can stroll on foot through the old centre of Moraira or settle down at one of the many bars and restaurants. The promenade connects Playa de l'Ampolla beach in the west with the marina in the eastern part of the harbour town.
Fishing Harbour / Marina
The marina of Moraira (Puerto Deportivo de Moraira) is one of the most charming and well-maintained marinas on the Costa Blanca. Located right next to the centre and within walking distance of the beach and promenade, the harbour forms the beating heart of the village and is a favourite place for both visitors and locals.
Jardín de l’Albarda
With an impressive surface area of 50,000 m², L’Albarda is home to more than 700 native plant species, together with a beautiful collection of roses and palm trees.
This garden stands out not only for its rich biodiversity but also for its two main areas: the formal garden and the wild garden. These zones bring to life the splendour of the old Valencian Renaissance gardens, infused with the influence of Arab culture.

Club de Golf Ifach is located in a valley near the coastal road between Moraira and Calpe and offers beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and the spectacular Peñón de Ifach.
Golf Club Ifach was one of the first golf clubs established on the Costa Blanca and has been attracting new members and holiday golf enthusiasts for more than thirty years.
The Ifach Golf Club features a 9-hole golf course (six par 3s and three par 4s), an enjoyable yet challenging course, with a practice area consisting of four nets, an approach area with bunkers, and a putting green.

We are Robin & Femke, the proud new owners of Casa Mariposa – Moraira since the end of March.
From the very first moment, we were completely charmed by the atmosphere of Moraira — its low-rise buildings, the tranquillity, the light, the sea… And when we stepped into this apartment, we immediately knew everything felt just right.
We both love travelling and have been fortunate to explore many parts of the world. Yet here on the Costa Blanca we found something extra, something truly special: a place where you naturally slow down, enjoy the moment and recharge. A permanent place …

Wij hebben genoten van het huisje. Het is er gezellig, liefdevol en met aandacht ingericht. Op de foto’s lijkt de keuken misschien klein, maar hij is van alle gemakken voorzien. De woonkamer is knus en biedt een mooie speelruimte voor de kinderen. Zou er zeker weer eens komen!
Helemaal bij gekomen van ons weekendje weg. Het nabijgelegen meer is fantastisch voor een wandeling. De open haard maakt het ook extra lekker om binnen te zitten. Ruime slaapkamers en verder helemaal in orde!
Modern, ruim en netjes. Slaapkamers en badkamer waren goed schoongemaakt. Werd ook goed ontvangen door de gastheer. Verblijf als zeer prettig ervaren.
Top huis! Goed geholpen door de gastheer bij aankomst. De ligging is werkelijk perfect. Met de auto ben je zo in de stad. Daarna kan je lekker bijkomen in de serre. Er wordt ook aan het milieu gedacht(afvalscheiding, energie- en waterverbruik). Een aanrader!
Mooi huis tussen de weilanden. Wij zijn wandelliefhebbers dus waren de hele dag op pad. Zelfs van het keukentje gebruik gemaakt voor het ontbijt en kwam eigenlijk niks te kort.
Wat een prachtig huis! Wij hebben ons enorm vermaakt in de grote tuin. De verhuurders hebben ons goed geholpen en waren altijd in de buurt als we ze nodig hadden. De ligging is super mooi. Overdag huppelen er konijnen en ’s nachts een egeltje gezien. Absolute aanrader!
Goed huis. Mooi afwisselend landschap en heel rustig gelegen. Vriendelijke mensen en heerlijk knusse ruimte, met zorg ingericht. Goede houtkachel, lekker bed.
Deze accommodatie is schoon en ruim opgezet. De kamers zijn gezellig en de bedden zijn heel goed. Fijne omgeving. Wandelen, fietsen, watersport etc, de mogelijkheden zijn enorm. Wat bijzonder opvalt is de buitenruimte met prachtige tuin, met BBQ en gezellige zithoekjes met vuurplaats.
Heerlijk rustig en landelijk. We moesten weer even wennen toen we weer thuis in de stad waren! Huisje is compleet, bedstee en tuinhuis zijn een leuke toevoeging. Genoten van de vogeltjes in de tuin.
In een woord geweldig!! De verhuurder is ontzettend behulpzaam en heeft ons goed ontvangen. Wij hebben nu al heimwee en willen weer lekker door het bos wandelen. Echt een goed onderhouden paradijsje!
